Take a look at the Gaia showcase and you will see that we are absolutely committed to helping schools with the creative use of video. In our studio, we use industry standard video editing tools from Adobe but we realise that, for schools, having simple to use video editing software is absolutely critical. Especially important is the capacity to handle chromakey or screen video production. Additionally, teachers face challenges when sharing clips with a group or interfacing with online storage services.  We have been appraising products for sometime now and have settled on WeVideo as our product of choice. Going Green (Screen)

As you will have probably guessed from this site, here at Gaia we are big fans of video and green screen technology. In our studio, the video and sound specialists work with high-end cameras and software (Adobe Premiere Pro) to provide an editing service in support of the school projects featured on the Community site. Our customers have been asking about the use of green screen technology as both a medium for students to showcase their learning and also its use to support teachers in making short study and revision videos. Supporting Innovation at Academy 360

Academy 360 is a Gaia partner school in Sunderland. As part of the managed service provision Gaia has sponsored ‘a discovery space’ to help promote innovation with   technology. This is not unique. Gaia has sponsored such spaces elsewhere. You can see the case study of our contribution at SGS Berkeley Green UTC here and in April we will be  establishing a similar centre at Prendergast  School (Leathersellers Federation) in Lewisham.

St Philip Howard Academy – Green Screen Project

July 2016 and the year 6 pupils who will join the Academy in September have arrived for their first experience of lessons at secondary school. Across a number of these lessons they have worked on a project, ‘Our Island’ ,which is designed to culminate in a series of video presentations

A Roman Triumph for Maun Infant School

After a half term of work on their project based around the painting ‘A Roman Triumph’ by Peter Paul Rubens, staff and pupils at Maun Infant School have  been  presented with a video of the completed product.
